  • The Orchard Pet Cemetery is designed for owners who want their pets buried in a sustainable, environmentally friendly and respectful way.
  • To ensure the highest standard of service The Orchard Pet Cemetery works closely with the Environment Agency, DEFRA, the local District Council and the Trading Standards Agency.
  • Visitors and pet owners must accept the ethos of the site and abide by its rules.
  • The location of burials will recorded and a certificate issued.
  • The site is home to a variety of wildlife including burrowing rabbits, and visitors are expected to exercise care. The owners accept no liability for injury to any person, damage or loss from any vehicle or property whilst visiting the burial ground.
  • At times access to the site or some areas may be restricted. Visitors must accept such limitations.
  • Graves can be marked only by an approved memorial stone set into the ground to allow regular mowing, and seeds and bulbs of spring flowering plants. Any other items will be considered inappropriate and will be removed by the site owners.
  • Burials may take place only in degradable coffins and shrouds.
  • Infected animal remains cannot be buried at the site.
  • Animal burial plots are purchased for 5 years. After this period memorial stones will be transferred to the memorial garden and the ground will be reused.
  • Memorial trees will be guaranteed for 5 years and replaced by the site owner if necessary, though not necessarily by the same type.
  • Full payment must be made before transportation or burial is undertaken. All prices quoted include tax where charged.
  • Pets are not allowed on the site, including the car parking area.
  • Visitors must park in the designated car parking area and not on the public highway.
  • Visitors must behave in a sensible and respectful way, and be mindful of the needs of other visitors.
